So, this kinda came up in the "Underappreciated Cartoons" thread, but I figured this might make an interesting topic all on its own: video games we wish someone would make.
To repeat my own example from the afformentioned thread.... I'm kinda surprised that nobody ever thought of using G.I. Joe for a turn-based strategy game in the vein of something like Shining Force or even Jagged Alliance. Yes, I know GI Joe games exist, but the point is they're always platformers or run-n-guns, and specifically I'd like to see a strategy game.
There's also He-Man games, but honestly I kinda feel like He-Man would make a great J-style RPG. I could even write the plot for it...
Has there ever been a James Bond game that plays like Metal Gear Solid? I know there've been Bond games with the occasional stealth section but I'm not aware of any that are specifically built around a stealth mechanic.

There's so much potential in superhero licenses, but mostly they just get squandered on crappy action games, brawlers or platformers. I'd love a good tactical RPG featuring the X-Men, Avenger, JL or whatever. Or an first person Iron Man game that actually simulated the armor and it's various functions properly. Or a truly excellent Spider Man game.
The manga Battle Angel Alita/Gunmm has an arc featuring the fairly well developed blood sport named Motorball that's just ripe for a video game adaptation. It's a sport in which specialized cyborg racers speed through obstacle filled tracks and fight each other for the control of the titular Motorball. Whoever has the ball when it has completed the required number of laps or manages to be the last one standing wins.

Maybe Cube (1997) as a Survival Horror/Adventure game.
GI Joe could also be a Commandos-style game.

I could go for a Sailor Moon Musou. The series is so popular and we barely get games based on it in modern times.
A Supernatural survival horror game. Haven't seen the show since season 4/5 (watched the recent Scooby Doo crossover and rekindled my interest) but the show leads itself to such gameplay.
iZombie adventure game. Have some potential there to pick personality dialogue for whatever current brain you ate. Get visions and figure out what they mean to solve the murder.

Super Mahou Shoujo Wars. Like SRW, except with magical girl shows instead of giant robot. This seems like a such an obvious thing that it makes me wonder why it hasn't happened.

Maybe Cube (1997) as a Survival Horror/Adventure game. GI Joe could also be a Commandos-style game. Cube totally felt like it was based on some video game! Throw in some multiple endings. There are a bunch of licenses that I would love to see as Arcsys "Dragon Ball Fighter Z" quality fighting games. Like Hunter X Hunter. Though Hunter X Hunter should have 2-D platforming parts mixed in between fighting sequences.

HxH would be tough one to do justice, because mind games and complex tactics are such an integral part of battles in that series. They could definitely do something like One Piece with that engine though.

A Final Fantasy Musou game. Think of the insane roster that would have...

I don’t think there was ever an official Hunger Games game, right? Maybe it would’ve been too grim, with all the killing of teenagers... but it could’ve been a pretty interesting survival horror/RPG/action/strategy hybrid. If done right. With multiplayer and things.
Or even better; Battle Royale: The game!
But it could’ve easily turned out terrible.

This thread is serendipitous as I had a weird compulsion to replay Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars (on Scene 06), and I noticed that it's basically the generic anime version of Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. I'd be nice if there were an actual IBO game possibly as an alternate version of show where Tekkadan actually stays expanded and you have to manage operations between Mars and Earth.

I'd totally play a Cardcaptor Sakura 2D action-platformer, if such a thing existed.
One thing I'd really like to see, is a third-person stealth/shooter kinda game set in the jungle, where you play as Rambo. Such gameplay would just feel so right playing as him.

I wish Nintendo had tried to buy the Harry Potter license just for videogames rather than multimedia products. We could have gotten some gems.

A Bud Spencer beat 'em up not made years after the genre's popularity had waned.
A contemporary JoJo's game for Battle Tendency (from when the arc was freshly out, so the late 80s). The world tour style setup of the game lends itself nicely for some early Genesis platforming around the world.
A good Akira game.
A good Miami Vice game. Several if possible.
A good Lethal Weapon game.
