You can get a liquid humanity to your counter when killing an enemy randomly if the boss is alive. If the boss is dead you can find solid humanity from certain enemies, notably rats and skelly babies

It's the liquid I'm talking about. I've been dicking around in Sen's and I've killed a ton of serpents while fighting the titanite demons and I've yet to get one.

It doesn't seem to happen very often. Tbh I've most frequently seen it from hollow soldiers.

Go to the Depths and farm rats. It's the best way outside of the Abyss.

The babies have a higher drop rate than the rats.

But babies are too much farther in the game, usually by the time you no longer need that much humanity.

Hey man you never know when you're going to dodge roll off a cliff on the way back to your bloodstain and lose that 99 humanity.

Pisacas are also faster than rats. That's where I usually farm them since I don't have the dlc.

I always forget those things exist because I haven't gone to Duke's archives in like, the last hundred hours I've put into ds1 lol.

The skellie babies and Handmaidens of Lolth are also good sources of humanity, but farther into the game.
The very best is the Abyss in the DLC from the Humanity Phantoms, but again, farther into the game.

Just finished my first play through with a sorcery build. It was a lot easier than expected. I finished at level 80. I had some trouble at the beginning of the game. But I think that was more getting used to the style of play that I don't normal use. I mainly used the Sorcerer's Catalyst and upgraded my Battle Axe to +10 Enchanted with 36 Intelligence then forged Quelaag's Furysword +5 as a secondary weapon. The only armor I used throughout was the Bloodstained Skirt and then Gold Hemmed when needed. I had a lot more fun with the game than playing with my normal tank style character.

I actually really hate playing casters in souls games. Walk 20 steps fire a couple soul arrows, walk 20 steps repeat. The only magic I ever really use is a weapon buff. Power Within is great too especially for invasions.
