Finished both Zoo Quest: Puzzle Fun and The Price is Right 2010, both on DS. One Away was a massive choad.
And...
Did every time trial and beat all of the staff's times on Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (DS). Still love it, but two of the Monkey Ball tracks (Treetops and MONKEY TARGET) were absolutely tough. Moreso on the final sections of both tracks (those three jumps downwards on the former; the series of super tight turns on the latter). The former absolutely screwed me on my first go, since I was doing excellent, but on the final lap I ended up falling about three times and didn't beat the staff's time.
I also finished Story Mode with every single character on The King of Fighters 2006 (PS2). Jivatma is probably one of the weakest SNK bosses there is, although there are times where he does become pretty cheapo. Also his character design is atrocious. Other than that, I still enjoy this one. I also unlocked some more alternate colors on Challenge Mode while I was at it.

So yeah, I'm finding the third character in Ys: Origin really fun to play as. Love the "Godspeed" spell, as it uses very little MP but nets you quite a few invincibility frames. This is, of course, offset by him being far more fragile, so while it's easier to dodge, the ones that make it through are a real pain, especially given his limited range.

It's so much fun to just mash the button and tear through things. His moves aren't as flashy as Yunica's but they're all very satisfying to use.

Recently bought and have been playing the hell out of Fire Emblem Awakening. This game is fantastic. I haven't enjoyed a handheld title like this in years. It's actually pretty addicting. Never played a Fire Emblem game until now, and so I'm seriously considering looking into some of the older games to see how much they've changed. It seems you can battle against most (or at least the most famous) Fire Emblem characters from past games and then recruit them into your own army, which only further motivates me to look 'em up. Not to mention the mountain of DLC this game has and will continue to get. I'll be stuck with this game for a while. I'm already at a point where I'm 99% sure I could finish the game wihout any issues, but I've been dragging it out trying to finish everything that can be done before the end... which is gonna make starting over on a harder setting a pain in the ass. Oh well. I'm sure I've missed something or messed up somewhere anyway.

Still putzing away with Fallout 3. The Vault with the Gary clones is among the more memorable situations I've stumbled upon in a game. Creepy.

I don't know, I think a crazy dash across the room and a lightning explosion punch are plenty flashy thus far, and wonderfully practical, too. One problem I had playing Hugo was that I just didn't find his lightning mine all that fun to use thanks to disabling the Eyes of Fact for the duration of their use and it taking me forever to learn you could detonate them manually. That said, I dare say Yunica might be the hardest character on account of lacking an invincibility move like Hugo and Claw. I had only a sliver of health left when I beat the final boss as her, and only lost a sliver of health fighting it as Hugo. Also...I always fall for that damned panacea you find in the underwater section of the Flooded Prison. Given the length of time between my playthroughs, I keep forgetting you need to re-equip the Water Dragon Scales after using it, resulting in a very sudden game over.

Giving Castlevania on the N64 a go since I've not actually played it yet. My god the camera is bad but I'm starting to kind of enjoy it despite some bullshit deaths and level design. Also a bonus is that it actually has a good PAL conversion.

You should just skip straight to Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. It's basically the game that Castlevania 64 was supposed to be. Why they released the games the way they did is still beyond me. But yeah, Legacy of Darkness is legitimately a good game. It's not without its flaws and it's basically nothing like classic Castlevania games, but it's fun, has great atmosphere and loads of content.

It still has some wonky camera problems and some stupid puzzles in there, but by and large it's a significantly improved game that's actually rather fun. The hedge maze in particular is one of my favorite bits in it. Motorcycle riding skeletons and a loonie with a chainsaw chasing you? Fuck yea, sign me up.

Welp, despite the Director's Cut being almost out, I decided to try the classic Deadly Premonition experience.
Only just made it to the hospital for the autopsy, but I have to say I am unironically enjoying it thus far.

Well, some stages (the towers) are completely redone while retaining their themes, so if you really want to experience everything, you need to play both, even though LoD has Reinhardt and Carrie modes. Apart from that, yeah, LoD is better.

Dusted off Metal Saga for a few hours. This game is all about money. You need money to fight, you need money to upgrade, you need money to do pretty much anything in this game. Ohh, don't I know it, friends. DON'T I KNOW IT.

Just spent an hour in the duel tower in Castlevania 64 dying over and over because of the buggy jumping controls. Fuck this game.
