Now that this game has been released in America...who bought it? Impressions from the localization? Is it as butchered as it was planned? Well, I like it quite a bit. I didn't know there was any skepticism or backlash until just now when I popped into this thread. I think it's a ton of fun. If there's any dialogue that I'm missing out on, it doesn't seem to have affected my understanding of how to play or what's going on. The only real butchery I can speak of is that they replaced "shit" with "jitt" throughout the script. I guess that technically satisfies the folks at the ESRB, but it's also hilariously dumb. As for the difficulty… yeah, some of the bosses might give you a hassle, maybe a couple stage gimmicks here and there, but it's a very easy game overall. Part of that is because you have an item, by default, that lets you spend EP (which recharges automatically) in order to absorb damage so long as you're not doing your lightning attack. Manage your EP wisely, and you're basically invincible. Of course, you can voluntarily disable this feature at any time by equipping a different pendant, but I honestly don't know if there's any tangible reward for doing so.

Hmm, was gonna buy this today and then I saw the price point. Either way, it seems I need a larger SD card for both this and Layton x Phoenix.

I'm glad to hear that the final release is worthy. The only problem is...european release when? Same problem with consoles version of Shovel Knight. I've already played and finished the PC version (in Normal Mode) but I want the 3DS version as well since I love this game (probably my second favourite indie game after Cave Story). Turns out that even the famous spikes don't kill you in one shot . That's actually a good thing. Deadly spikes in 2D games are bullshit and I hate them. "Jitt"? Seriously? Couldn't they choose at least a proper word or phrase like "Shoot!" (that's what the main character in older Pokemon games says when he fails to catch a Pokemon) or "Darn!" (the safe way to say "Damn" since it's a taboo word for E/T-rating games according to the companies) ?

Question: What Megaman game does this play like the most classic, X, or Zero?

They were probably going for an in-universe expletive like Galactica's "frak," but it's stupid either way. Gunvolt is definitely most similar to the Zero games.
