Anybody mention the Game Boy Hamtaro games? Ham-Hams Unite is still one of my favorite games for being so "out there." You can't call many games a "foreign-language simulator" and have that be a good thing. Besides Final Fantasy X I can't think of any.

I forgot the arcade GI Joe game from Konami... The Taxan GI JOE game was great. The Capcom sequel was horrendous.

I'm not sure how that happened. I believe Taxan made both but sold the second to Capcom when they went bust.

Ugh, Atlantis Factor. What a shit storm that was. I've sunk many hours into it too and got nothing out of it.

Ghostbusters must be a good IP in general for licensed games, because I'd highly recommend the Commodore 64 Ghostbusters (Pretty sure it was the original...and I remember the tinny little voice clips being amazing at the time, heh) game too. Even today, it's still hella fun to play. The Megadrive GB game is also pretty good. To me, the MD Ghostbusters is the most cherished memory. Simple and a bit different. I of course like the 2008/9 game a lot, although at some chockepoints I remember it becoming a "revive-fiesta", getting saved, saving partners, falling down, getting revived by partners, etc etc, with little time to actually fight the enemies; a bit like Gears of war Judgment can become aggravating the same way when the game stonewalls you. But yeah, overall the Ghostusters game franchise is rather acceptable. Even the Activision version was actually respecting of a certain spirit of the film.

Doesn't that just mean you guys are bad at the game?
Oh, on topic, somebody probably said it already, but the Capcom Punisher arcade game.

Some Doraemon games are decent. Most notably the first Famicom game.

While I don't think the SMS/GG Aladdin is the best, it pulls of some quite impressive graphical tricks, like the perspective correct scrolling buildings. Also the graphics are generally very good, as usual for Sega's Disney games.
I always wanted to play the N64 Doraemon games back then when I saw screenshots in a magazine. Really loved the look of the world. Hmmmm... I could just emulate them now^^

Doesn't that just mean you guys are bad at the game? Not really when the problem comes from the AI, while you are doing fine until you must stop everything to revive faulty AI.

Did anyone bring up Godzilla yet? Because some of the Godzilla fighting games are decent fun. But I especially like Kaijuu-Oh Godzilla on the GameBoy, which is a quick little sidescroller that's tons of fun.

Gundam: Zeonic Front on PS2 is an excellent Rainbow Six-like tactical shooter where you command a squad of authentically fragile Zeek suits. It's similar in many ways to the earlier Dreamcast game Rise from the Ashes, but with the strategic elements given considerably more depth and importance (you can freely switch control between your wingmen and set paths for them to follow). Stealthily taking down a Gundam with three Zaku, knowing that it could easily wipe them all out in a few seconds, is the most tense and visceral experience in any Gundam game.

There are more than you would think. Some of my favorites would include:
Spider-man PSX Spider-man 2 (PS2) Ghostbusters (2009 PS3, 360) One Piece unlimited red (PS3, vita) Alien Infestation (DS) Jo Jo Bizarre adventure (PSX & even the new PS3 version) all three Godzilla fighting games (wii and ps2) South Park stick of truth (PS3,360) Batman: Arkham city (ps3, 360) Marvel lego superheroes (Ps3, 360, wii) Mobile Suit Gundam Zeonic front (ps2) Gundam battle assault 2 (PS2) Gungrave (Ps2) Aladdin (SNES, genesis) Capcom's Punisher (arcade, genesis) Magic Knight rayearth (Saturn) Astro Boy (DS) Indiana Jones and the temple of the Atlantis (PC)
Those are just the ones of the top of my head. I'm sure I'm missing some out. Does Kingdom hearts count? If it does that would be on my list. Or at least the first two games would.
