Hyper Light Drifter PC (29122 colors) to SNES (291 colors) and MD (59 colors). Only did a few tweaks to the MD one, it's mostly automated like the SNES one. I accidentally did the resolution tweak first and then got lazy since the original uses so many gradients.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts ARC to MD redux - 93 to 53 colors (28 colors in 1989 MD port) Compared to Amaru's great WIP hack of the MD port (YT): --- I revisited a DKC mockup yesterday, making use of shadow/highlight mode and a priority map for better accuracy and expanding the max amount of colors above 61. I think this is doable based on what I've read recently, you use an invisible mask of 8x8 tiles on parts of the foreground to make those parts use the normal palette while the rest uses shadow mode colors. The mid background is all normal while the far background (sky) is all shadow. 2x: i.imgur.com/ovkpMDy.pngSNES (119 colors) to MD (62 colors). Edit with shadow mode+priority map on the foreground at key points to make the most out of the palette. The sprites and objects use 28 colors total, and the background uses 56. Due to overlapping colors between subpalettes the total amount is still 62. Using shadow mode on the sky only the MD shot would use 46 colors only.
