I’m cancelling my pre-order, not interested in these games at all sadly If they only got rid of these: Super Puzzle Fighter II Twisted Metal Cool Boarders 2 Rainbow Six Syphon Filter Destruction Derby ...And instead added these: Alundra Tombi! Klonoa Silent Hill Suikoden 2 SotN ...we could talk.

Persona is on that? Didn't even Atlus themselves not like the localization of the original game?
And it's shocking that not a Crash or Spyro game on the device. They were practically the mascot characters of the PS1. Makes about as much since as Konami releasing only four PCE games on 3DS in Japan, and not a Bonk among them. (though China Warrior apparently was deserving of a spot)

Gran Turismo used Music and Carsthatd have toget rights to same reason why they is no Wipeout games on this.
Why no Um Jammy Lammy for a music themed game to pick which I doubt they would be any music problems for either. The lack of Space Shooters on the western one is just sad. They had a platform to get people to finally try out Gradius Gaiden and G Darius yet instead waste a slot on on Rainbow 6 which no one would of asked for instead.
Why Battle Arena Toshinden when the sequels was much better on PS1 and who going to want to play it when Tekken 3 on there already? The PS1 port of Mr driller is very basic compared to the later ones a Bust a Move/Puzzle Bobble game would of been a better choice or Kula World.
Both have no multiplayer Mini game focused party games either Poy Poy 2 and Bishi Bashi Special would of been good choices to pick for this.

Battle Arena Toshinden being on this is fucking hilarious. I get that it was impressive at the time but, c'mon.

Not a single Crash Bandicoot game and no SotN is kind of like if the SNES Classic had no Mario World or Super Metroid. It just ain't right.
Overall, it's an interesting list, but not one that properly represents the PSX. The NES and SNES Classics had a few odd-ball titles, but at least the majority of choices were what you would expect from something with 'classic' in the name. There's also some games that are fine, but aren't really PSX-y per se. Like, why Rainbow Six?

Rainbow Six is quite the strange choice. Not what you would call, a defining PSX exclusive. I'm of the impression that die hard Rainbow Six fans are faithful to the PC version.

I was hoping there'd be an equivalent to the SNES Classic's Star Fox 2 (one that also has the benefit of only its previous builds being on emulator sites). Either a cancelled, but finished game or something that may not have been accurately emulated. Something that would stand out. Even a sampler of the PSX tech demos would have been interesting.

Even things like Pandemonium would’ve made much more sense. Or the first Blood Omen or Soulblade....

Its also absolutely god awful on PS1. One of the worst games on the system. It makes no sense. It's as if a bunch of executives who know nothing of video games had a 20 minute board meeting. "Guys! Speak to me! What's hot right now that we could throw in the Playstation Classic?!" "First-person shooters are hot." "First-person shooters are very in!" "What's a game we could fit in on our budge?" "How about Ace Combat or Alundra?" "Shut the fuck up James! You're out of touch man!" "Boss, I think we could Rainbow Six. Tom Clancy didn't die that long ago. Market research shows there's been a surge in Tom Clancy Google searches."

Surprised by the lack of Tomb Raider. Also, Persona 1 is near useless on our end.

Surprised by the lack of Tomb Raider. I know Crash and Spyro just had their re-releases so there wasn't much hope there for those, but Lara Croft is equally as synonymous with the PS1 console as those two so what's the excuse there? Also, if we couldn't have a main Crash Bandicoot game they should've atleast give us Crash Team Racing. I could go without Destruction Derby as I feel there could've been a better choice. Don't think it makes Twisted Metal superfluous, because the games are different enough and attract different audiences. Rainbow Six was only added in because of the current popularity of Siege and the transparency of that makes it really disgusting. So jelly about the Japanese version getting Parasite Eve. That games awesome. Also, what's wrong with Revelation's Persona?
