I'm pretty sure many of you already know that Shinji Mikami and Goichi Suda (Along with SH composer, Akira Yamaoka) are working on an "action horror" title published by EA.
It's been quite a while since we last heard about it, but apparently, it will be officially revealed at the EA Tokyo Showcase in 15 September (That's the day before TGS)
Nothing much is known about the game except its Multiplatform, and inspired by the Japanese movie "Crows Zero" which is about School Gangs, some connected to the Yakuza, fighting for the sake of controlling schools, wonder how this inspired the game...

Ah, man, been forever since I heard about this. I'm excited! They're two of my favorite directors.

Crows Zero? I remember seeing that just last year. Despite understanding only 10 percent of it I thought it was still pretty entertaining. Isn't the movie based on a manga series? I think that Sega Saturn beat-em-up is also based on the same series, so it must have already been around for a while...
Anyway I'm looking forward to the announcement, I guess. I still need to play Killer 7.

It's like a collision of all of my favorite game developers.

Does this mean that Kenji Eno's Wii game and Kore also haven't been canceled?

It's about time. I'm looking forward to seeing what it is.
But if it's on-rails or a beat-em-up, I'll pass.

If it's not on-rails, it's probably the FPS survival horror game Resident Evil never became since Suda and Mask De Uh have always been bitching about it.

I'm hoping for a beat'em up! ;D But my gut feeling says it's an sort of adventure, with puzzels and such. Although I wonder how a horrorgame inspired by crows will turn out? There should be some school gang battles stuff alongside the horror stuff.

Finally, I've been waiting for news about this since it was announced. I'm kinda hoping that this'll inspire Shinji to go start making another Dino Crisis game, since action horror seems to be coming back into style.

Reception seems to be a bit mixed, probably because most lot was expecting something different (I sure was). But I have to say, colour me interested! Really like the monster designs (the cyclops with the headlamp helmet ;D). It looks very Suda51 with Mikami's Resident Evil 4. Only thing I wasn't to fond was was that 'orrible background music. Hopefully that Silent Hill fella comes up with some quality tunes, and this bgm was just for trailer only.
btw I read a comment on Kotaku that this title used to be Suda's Kurayami project... I think I heard about that, something with Kafka, but does anyone know if this is a Kafka story or something? Or is he wrong and this has nothing to do with the Kurayami project?

I'm interested. Clearly not straight up survival horror, but it's still looking pretty sweet. I love the way you described it as From Dusk 'Till Dawn because that's totally the feeling I got from the trailer.

Hm... absinthe. I have a feeling the tunes are going to all be like this. Which I have no problem with.
