You should have really included a "playing it fairly regularly, and for more than just one purpose" option, to see how many people are actually getting a lot of use out of it as opposed to the amount of people who rarely do anything with it. Yes, I thought of other options to include after the fact. The problem is that the forum doesn't let me modify anything. Not even delete the poll.

Before, I used the Wii for both Wii games and emulators. Sadly, my microSD adaptor fucked up, and now I only use it for licensed titles. Mostly Mario Party 8 and Brawl.

It's collecting dust. I never ever touch it.
BUT! Sometimes consoles get new life for me, especially towards the end of its life cycle, and definitely when it's declared "dead" (like the PS2 is right now, even though it's still manufactured. I'm playing A LOT of PS2 lately.)
It's a nice opportunity to start hunting for games I never knew I wanted to play. As long as a console is alive and kicking, I somehow end up picking up newer games all the time, and lots of stuff is just forgotten only to be remembered again when there're no new games coming out anymore.
I think I will be playing the Wii again in a few years.

Use a regular SD card instead of a Micro + adapter. The access times are like 3 to 5 times quicker, and it won't glitch or crash every now and then.

I bought my Wii mainly because I wanted to play the Wii Fire Emblem game, which i did.
I've gotten a few other various games for it that I played a bit at the time, but a lack of releases for the system (that interest me) has me in the "Wii gathering dust" category.

I go through periods of using the Wii, but when its not being used it's not because my time is tied up with another (modern) console. For someone who doesn't do a lot of console gaming there are more than enough games to occupy my time. And considering I'm the type of guy who has a Colecovision hooked up to the bedroom TV the graphics are just fine for me.

It is funny I see this topic because it was only a few days ago that I ordered Alien Syndrome and Tournament of Legends, both Wii games. Besides that, I've been playing Punch-Out!! on and off sessions of Sengoku Basara Heroes with my brother and the Wii gets regular use as a Gamecube. I recently completed Rocky on it infact. I've had my Wii for two to three years now and I've probably bought more games for it than my 360 and PS3 combined.

I'm playing Punch-Out!! right now. It's pretty good, but I wouldn't call it a $50 game. What is it with Wii games being so short that you can entirely complete them in a single day? This is like the fifth or sixth game I've run across like that.

Yeah, my big problem with the Wii is that first-party Nintendo games never, ever drop in price.

Hilariously, they sometimes even go up in price. Look at Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I see no reason to upgrade from my Gamecube at the moment. The Wii is sorely lacking in the genres I like: RPGs and fighting games. The Gamecube had the same problem, but at least what it did have, they were standout titles of that generation. Plus the Gamecube had a lot of great oddball "cultish" titles.
IMO, I made the right choice this gen with the 360. I don't own a PS3 either, but I have access to one and I'll pick it up a few years from now when it's dying or dead.

I'm getting increasingly hopeful that I can borrow someone's dust-collecting Wii one of these days and finally have a good long go at those first-party titles myself.
