Am I the only one finding gaming as a whole insanely depressing all of a sudden?
It's nothing but delays, cancellations and stuff that'll never come Stateside. >_<#

Aww....well that really sucks, that game looked like it would have been a bit of fun, especially playing as Ryu or Arthur. Oh well

Can't say I'm too disappointed by never getting to play Universe, but I'm a bit concerned about what's happening to the Blue Bomber. There used to be times when pretty much every month SOME sort of MM game would be released and now there's only MML 3 to look forward to, which I just hope turns out at least somewhat nearly as good as the prequels, despite the change of looks. Capcom, just anounce Misadventures of Tron Bonne 2, though, and I'll be all good again.

Even MML3 is technically a "maybe", since Capcom hasn't officially greenlit the project. Remember that nonsense from a few weeks back? The situation hasn't changed, and however many enthusiastic updates we get, it's just as liable to get cancelled as this.

It must be awful for the development team, working on something for months and then - FAIL! Capcom pulls the plug. Though maybe the game just didn't turn out very well. Guess we'll never know.
As for Sega, it's only a matter of time before both Yakuza and Valkyria becoms japan only releases, or maybe both series comes to an end. I doubt we'll see Yakuza 7 or Valkyria Chronicles 5. I hope i'm wrong.

It didn't really look that good, anyway, and I say this as someone who considers Mega Man Powered Up one of the finest games ever made.
Honestly, at this point, I just want Capcom to die. They hardly have shit, anymore, and what they do have is often full of DLC or is just lazily outsourced to another company. They're not contributing a damn thing to gaming anymore.

It does seem that a lotta the stuff with the Capcom badge on the box these days ends up actually being developed by somebody else. Tho Capcom are by no means alone in this practice.
Hard to weather I hate it or not, as sometimes these outsource companies do a good job. Sometimes they don't.

Konami is almost as bad as Capcom, outsourcing EVERYTHING. Which, most of the time, is better than not having any new games at all, but it makes me wonder what happens inhouse... What kind of work are they doing? They're clearly not making any games anymore..

"Various reasons" meaning "looks and plays worse than a PSP game from like five years ago."

I was curious to see how they would pull the cameo characters off. This is probably the most disappointing cancellation I've heard all year, even if the art left a little to be desired.

Mega Man Universe was looking like crap anyway. Nothing of value was lost.

Considering all I knew about this game was a name and a single trailer, can't say I'm too heartbroken over the cancellation. Shame they can't cancel Stu Pickles' Devil May Cry alongside it.
Wonder if this was part of the fallout over Inafune leaving Capcom.

Meh. Meh, I say. My faith in Capcom's waning in general, but I can't say I'd have cared too much about this project even if I still super-duper-lurved the big C. As Onyx said, we barely got any footage on it as it is, and I wasn't really enthused by what I was seeing. I felt they were being somewhat vague about the premise too, which makes me think they just kinda went ahead with this project without even really planning it through all that well.
So, MMU dies in the water, and I don't really insomuch care about that. I will care more if MML3 doesn't pass, but even then, I'm incredibly ambivalent about its progress too.

I wonder if Capcom will put together a Mega Man 11?
I really don't think 10 is as bad as a lot of people say it is. And for that matter, I can say the same thing about 4, 5, and 6.
