Silent Hill News Including Movie Ah that Silent Hill vid had a priceless quote: "I've been working on the franchise for about 5 years now and in that time we've taken it to a lot of interesting places" Indeed- you took it to the land of eternal dissapointment and mediocrity! Bully for you sir

If he's the guy responsible for Shattered Memories I'll give him a little bit of faith.
A little.

Climax isn't working on Downpour, so that would probably not be a likely scenario.

As awesome as the HD collection of MGS's will be, Im afraid it might kill the interest for the 3DS port of MGS3.
Speaking of which, the 3DS port also got a new trailer. Mentionable stuff include taking pictures with your 3DS and turning them into camo and....Yoshi.
"So, how does it taste?"
EDIT: By the way, Im baffled by people's reactions that its getting a 360 release as well. The hell is wrong with them?

I really hope the Peace Walker update gets released separately; there's no way I'm buying all three games again at premium price just to play one game.
Agreed. At least we've got Xenonauts coming out to make up for it.

Bravo Konami, bravo.
You downgrade the 3DS MGS3 and at the same time announce a superior MGS3 port, which can be played on the NGP, another portable machine.
Couldn't you have waited until after the 3DS version came out to announce the superior version? Don't complain after the 3DS version doesn't sell, because you just killed any hope it had.

That is pretty stupid, but I personally wasn't planning on getting the 3DS port in the first place. I want the MGS collection though since it has Peace Walker, and I don't own a PSP so I haven't been able to play it. I'm also excited for the Zone of the Enders and Silent Hill collections. I hope the new Contra game turns out okay. We don't know anything about it yet, but I'm looking forward to finding out more. The new XCOM trailer makes the original trailer seem decent in retrospect. I can't believe they're doing this shit to the series.

Frogger 3DS!I may be the only person on Earth who's interested in this, but I don't care. I have another reason to get a 3DS now

That is pretty stupid, but I personally wasn't planning on getting the 3DS port in the first place. I was. It isn't stupid that there's a remake for the PS3. Problem is you can also play it on the NGP/Vita/PSP2, with high res graphics. So not only did Konami downgrade the 3DS version (it looks worse now), but they announce another portable version that looks better before the lesser one is released? It's like they're almost rooting for the 3DS version to fail so that they have an excuse to not make anymore MGS games for the 3DS and just dump them all on the PSP2.

The HD Compilation thing sure has caught on, sad really how it figures that games from last gen excites me more than alot of the stuff announced or released recently.
I have to admit, as much as TheChosen might cringe to hear this, I am a little upset that the MGS collection is also coming out on Xbox 360. I guess my reason for this is that I'm pure about Metal Gear being a Sony IP and that it is the definitive format for the series - especially for the rumble tricks and memory card swaps. I'd be interested to hear how Konami compact all of the games onto a dual layer DVD aswell because MGS2 and MGS3 are pretty large games aren't they? I think MGS3 alone reaches a good 4GB atleast.

You are aware that Metal Gear started on the MSX, a microsoft console, right? And that there's a Metal Gear Solid for the Gameboy Color? And that there's MGS remake on the Gamecube? And that there's a MGS2 for the Xbox? And that... that's it.
