The Red Star.
Are the comics the game is based off of any good?

There's only one thing that truly pisses me off: when a character who previously was able to destroy entire buildings without batting an eye, slaughtering armies without a scratch, suddenly gets held up by the big bad guy because they've got a hostage. Sometimes it's not even someone the hero even cares about, just some random girl.

If this is canceled, as an act of protest I will torrent the first available rip of DmC for as long as my computer is on even though I have no way to play it myself. Then we'll just get Capcom thinking it would have sold better with more strict DRM, and not only get more of their games with worse DRM, but maybe even a sequel to DmC. THINK OF THE CONSEQUENCES

Nah, haha, don't sweat it, I understand if people don't think it was all that great (or even terrible), I just have a seriously fond affection for the series.
As for the Thundercats reboot (back on topic for me!), I don't really care if it is at all correlated to the original, because I thought it was an honestly pretty awful cartoon. Everything about it looked ugly and it was terribly "Saturday morning cartoon" in its method of handling things, like He-Man or other crappy cartoons from that era. They would sometimes deal with an overarching plot, but 99% of the episodes would dumb down to "villain does something, heroes react, everything is normal again at the end and the characters have developed nowhere outside of where they began."
It went absolutely nowhere and the characters were all boring. I have some sort of nearly palpable contempt for cartoons like that and He-Man, where the villain is some obnoxious jackass with a bunch of inept goons that harass the good guys just for the sake of doing it. Cartoons like G.I. Joe and Transformers would at least have genuine progression, but He-Man and Thundercats were just the same boring shit forever. I don't understand peoples' obsessions with them and their biggest fans are generally pretty off-putting and stupid people vapidly latched onto nostalgic sentiments like a fat piglet to its mother's teat.
This reboot seems to have an actual plot, the animation is superb for a daytime cartoon and the character designs, while still not quite resembling cats in the way I'd like them to, at least are no longer hideous. I'm seriously looking forward to this cartoon!

I've watched it 3 full times now, might be going on a 4th. Easily one of my favorite... "things" ever. I'm seriously fucking retarded for that cartoon

Avatar: The Last Airbender was a bit too mundane for my tastes. Like... seriously? :< Please tell me you just stopped at the first season or something.

Man, my life lately has been an utter fucking living hell. Bridges are being burnt with people I've known longer than I've even been at this forum and the last couple days I have had a perpetual ball of stress wound so tightly in my chest I have felt like I've just wanted to roll over and die.
Then to top it all off it looks like Mega Man Legends 3 is being canceled lol.
I mean, come on, Capcom. You would seriously kick me like this when I'm down? After teasing your fans for fucking months as if you were going to do something, you're going to pull this shit? When I spent $250 for a piece of shit to play a pay-for demo of one single game I've wanted for like a decade, you would seriously spite me like this?
Okay, I'm not really taking it that personally, but it does genuinely infuriate me they would lead their fans (and me) on this much only to potentially cancel the fucking project. It feels like a kick when I'm down, and it's coming from a company that's become borderline contemptuous of their fanbases with shit like DmC, exploitation of the RE franchise and neglected sequels to longtime favorites (as well as countless other stupid instances of bullshit).

This actually looks pretty great! I never enjoyed the old Thundercats, but this revival seems very interesting.

In terms of movement speed? Or just enemies constantly coming at you? Movement speed, amount of moves you can do, enemy speed... just... Everything about it faster paced than RE4 or either Dead Space game. One could argue it's a refinement of their formulas, but it's much more like things were just taken in a much more tense and quick direction.

My problem is that I just played through both Dead Space games, so I'm not really in the market right now for another RE4-style game, regardless of how much I love Suda51's work. SotD is so fast-paced that they're not really as comparable as one would imagine.

It's a thread about the game. I posted my relevant opinion on the game. I don't feel like going into depth about why I think it's so awful, but even as a child I thought I was horrible!

I happen to own both a 3DS and have played Ike's Virtual Boy (he does own one!). The Virtual Boy, by a significant margin, has better 3D, and left this impression on me the very second I put my eyes up to look into it. The 3D on the 3DS is no more significant a novelty than it was 15 years ago, and it's very far from the "next step" in gaming. I'd actually be willing to argue the 3DS's 3D is a genuine step back to more gimmicky times. Have you looked at the decline in popularity of 3D TV's since they've come out? Nobody wants them anymore.
Also, Ocarina of Time was ALWAYS a fucking shitty game.

Holy fuck. You know, when I was a kid, I never thought "coathanger" (often pronounced more like "cohanger") was actually just two words put together. Same with windshield (winshield). And now siliconera? Man like. This shit. Always blows my mind. Dude. Whoa.

As for SNES's going yellow - yeah, as muteki said, it has nothing at all to do with smoking. I thought it did as a child, too, but it definitely doesn't, it's all in the plastic of certain models.
As for "drinking vs smoking" - drinking in moderate amounts is proven to actually be good for your heart and keep you alive longer. Smoking has zero health benefits and a tremendous list of health detriments that has been objectively proven to shorten lifespans. Drinking is a commonly social event often associated with parties and good times, smoking is often considered anti-social and done away from others. Smoking is heavily addiction forming. Many people casually drink and it is considerably less chemically addictive. Smoking has a negative chemical effect detrimental to the health of anyone nearby the smoker, and the act of smoking causes stains and unpleasant odors to permeate hair, clothing and the area around the smoker. Drinking causes no harm to anywhere nearby the drinker, and no harm to anything nearby the drinker (sure, the drunk person can cause harm, but that's the person doing that, not the substance).
So, I mean. Seriously. You ask why drinkers look down on smokers? Did you even stop to think about that for a second? There are many obvious reasons. I'm not saying that drinking doesn't have harmful effects, but it has considerably less than smoking and can be done both healthily and responsibly.
