What if, D. Dyack showed his 'sausagy' middle finger to everyone else and made that Eternal Darkness sequel..

Just seen someone calling Double Dragon Neon a "wink-at-the-camera ironic hipster farce" in defense of Double Dragon IV. Looks like it's in danger of losing its chair by the DD table. How hilariously bad can it get? I assumed Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons always holds this sort of 'privilege' nowdays .

A bunch of classics from Namco, like Soul Calibur, Ridge Racer, Ace Combat or Tekken(although it's hard to say how well 'established' it was) have been consistently getting better with each newer releases(with some stumbles here and there).
Also Virtua Fighter 4 & 5 hold better against 1, 2 or 3 in my book.

Stuff like Shatterhand and NES Ducktales are games I never experienced until I discovered emulation in my last year of high school. Kinda, me too! You could say, i already knew, which direction i'm gonna be heading next

Circle of the Moon is the worst of the GBA & DS Castlevanias, so yeah, that one is 100% wrong. I don't know, it's a tough choice with those two for me. I kinda got lost in between the confusing castles of Harmony of Dissonance and strangely haven't had any desire to go back to it ever since. I haven't finished the arena room in Circle of the Moon too, but that's something i'm thinking of finishing one day actually. I think CotM is a bit 'souless' and moody, while HoD is too long(for being portable)and a bit unrefined. All in all, Symphony of the Night is ahead of these regardless imo.

Who needs Panzer Dragoon 1&2 since we've got Orta, no? Ok.

But the fact that there are still indie developers today who celebrate that system with games either for it, or in its style, is kind of mindblowing to me! I'd think that would be a chapter of gaming best forgotten. I've been wanting to try L'Abbaye des Morts for quite some time now, but that's about the only one really , the system is hardly impressive for sure.

Played REmake a bit more. The area around that first saferoom with the box and canteen is brutal. I've tried probably a dozen times to get through those rooms up above unscathed and without killing any zombies but I just don't think I can do it. And just learning how to skate by that zombie right outside the saferoom took forever. This game is so tedious. ..to go ahead and kill them ..by burning 'em, otherwise we all know what's next.

What exactly is Onimusha like? I've never owned or played any of the games in the series. It's a bit like Resident Evil in feudal Japan, with an emphasis on swordplay. There is also a PSX game by Konami titled Soul of the Samurai which is pretty similar and predates the series. I'd say Genji: Dawn of the Samurai is the closest to Onimusha games in terms of gameplay mechanics and all, but who have played that ?(i certainly haven't) and its sequel wasn't well received it seems too.

When you least expect it, love will come to find you. That sounds really cute. Reminds me of a certain Thailand-movie from 1995. You have a good taste at quotes, Sir/Madam. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin Thank you !

-I don't like the mega cute cat lolita big boobed waifus anime-style that has become so prevalent in Japanese games in the last decade(s). Games like Nights of Azure?

Mother 3 - Game Boy Advance
Length of the game is comparable to Earthbound. It starts a little slow, but overall, I enjoyed the plot more than Earthbound. Shigesato Itoi did a great job of writing this storyline to be more emotionally involving. I was really genuinely angry with how much of an asshole, some of the villains are. Despite the bright pixel graphics, the tone of the story is much darker. The whole time, you're wondering what the actual hell is going on, and questioning what is it all leading up to. It comes together rather neatly at the end, as it starts to reintroduce some characters from Earthbound, and how the 2 games possibly tie together. The ending feels a bit abrupt, like Final Fantasy VII. I wish there was more of a free-roaming epilogue. I never did figure out how the rhythm attack system worked, but still managed. I would say it's worth playing at least once. Especially if you like Earthbound. I think now I'll revisit Smash Bros. Hyperspace Emissary mode and play up to that scenario featuring Lucas and Ness. Hey, the NSX is back!
