Dino Crisis: Purple Haze, to match Regina's hair color and overall tone of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon with Fear Effect Reinvented visual style. Dino Crisis 3 should help to decide if it's a sequel or a spin-off .

I kinda have my doubts the remake of 2 is ever going to materialize after all this time. Next year, during its 20th Anniversary celebration. I reckon, they already had a 'proof of concept' developed, but either wasn't happy with it or been busy finishing RE7 stuff and all.

The more i delve into the story in games sometimes, very often i find myself thinking- guys just finished a 'project' and went for a beer(or something between those lines)

It might not be 100% true in Resident Evil case, but there're some things to consider and save some time for oneself trying to get what the hell is going on within the story in some games. hg101.proboards.com/post/411183 Q: Tell me more about that. How does the Japanese approach to game design differ from the Western approach? J: There are several Japanese approaches. Every company has its own culture. It seems to me, when I look at the way game design was done at Kojima Productions, the way it’s done at Capcom and Nintendo, the way I feel it’s being done at Platinum Games or From Software, I feel there’s a lot more importance and focus given to game mechanics over world, setting, story, message, all that stuff. I’m stereotyping, but in the West, scope, visuals, and features are the main attraction. For example, when we used to have Kojima Productions L.A.—we had an office in Los Angeles—we would get proposals for new games, pitches. It always started with: “This is the world you’re in. This is the experience I’m going to give you.” And gameplay was relegated to page 5 or 6 or 10. It was always about who you’re playing, who is the character, what’s going on, but not the “how,” how am I playing this? In Japan, a pitch is a page, maybe two. The first page you write what the game is about and how you play it. And the second page, maybe you need an illustration. We don’t care about who, or what the story is, what the game world is, all of this doesn’t really matter.

His hatred for Chris over the course of the series is also rather bizarre. The "official" story basically says that Jill and Chris both went through the mansion at the same time, too, rather than one route being canon. That only makes things more confusing. Do you remember Jason, who posted that interview not long ago (i think it was in general game chat thread) about Japanese developers- what they think about the story in video games in general and how should you play it, rather than--who is here to play with etc.,..i just keep recalling that occasionally;

At the end of the day it's certainly disappointing a sequel never happened They rolled out a trailer at some point, was it on 'early access' or anything? 'cause it might just have worked that way.

I'll always play as a dude unless I have no choice. They're usually attractive, and generic brunettes float my boat, so if I'm gonna stare at a backside throughout the game, it may as well be one I don't mind having to stare at Hold on, am i staring at you on the left in your avatar, akumajobelmont?

So I'm working my way through Resident Evil: Revelations. I still have unfinished business with its Raid Mode actually. Can't beat that goddamn Ghost Ship, despite loads of faqs and helpful videos online.

No, the deciding factor that moved game development focus to consoles is the simple fact that way more gamers play on consoles compared to PC. Like, several times as many, easily. Most developers are obviously going to target the market with more total customers. The PS2 era saw an especially huge surge in console ownership, and that's why so many developers started focusing on consoles... why target a PC userbase of a few million tops when you could target a console with a userbase of 20 million or more? You can't blend your vegetables and make coffee at the same time with kitchen food processor no matter how multi-functional it is, unless you've got 2 food processors. That's one of the reasons why PCs and consoles still coexist today. You can have 2 PCs, but coffee maker(console) is probably cheaper and does its pretty much a single purpose rather well. And then, there's a smartphone market. Where does it stand exactly now, i wonder? Should it evolve, re-purpose itself, stay the same? It's huge for sure.
