Feral Umbra--shaping up to be a Shadow of the Beast clone ( link) The OP didn't mention the Neo-Geo but Magician Lord would fit the question asked. It crossed my mind, then- Majuu Ou on the SNES came up --fell asleep easily

Funny how time can shift perspectives I'm slightly speechless on a positive note

Contra III feels like Contra, and it's great. But since I've been playing Alien Soldier, Gunstar Heroes, and Hard Corps lately, I just don't think Contra III is on the same level. I feel like it's on the cusp of being great, but kinda reminds me of Castlevania IV in that it seems a bit too preoccupied with showing off the still-newish hardware and not always using it to the game's benefit. I think all these games are only about 1-3 years apart, but the gulf between them feels larger. It's.. somewhat famous of being awesome, although it's not really awesome. Same as with Golden Axe.

OUCH Feynman, I'm sorry to hear that, I still haven't even made it past that first open area, but even I would say so far it isn't as good as the first game, hopefully however I'll wind up enjoying the overall thing more than you did, but I'm pretty worried to hear that. My taste in action games tends to be a bit eccentric. I wouldn't worry about;

I'm personally disgusted with the way 90s fashion has seemingly made a comeback as of late, much the way the 70s were en vogue during the 90s.

Think of it like, blueberries and cranberries cake, that's been kept in the fridge for so long -no one remembers the taste of it

Has Contra: Hard Corps really never been ported? I was hoping to play it over the weekend but my Genesis isn't hooked up and the cart is spendy. I haven't seen it anywhere else yet, so most likely not, but it runs reasonably well on any decent Sega Genesis/MD emulators(like Gens or Kega Fusion), if you want to go through that. It's a bit surprising really.

I saw a video about this board game. Did it too. It's got some neat ideas-like board's shape based on in-game mansion rooms layout and whatnot. On the other hand- i wish they gave some color to all of the characters, instead of being all red & blue/grey they could greatly benefit from full color spectrum, i mean, zombies could look the same, but retained full 'dress-code' etc.

Is anyone else planning on playing The Evil Within 2 when it come out? I myself can't wait. So many games to wade through. Evil Within 2 can wait. I'd be more interested in Pathologic 2. But it won't be out this year i'm afraid.
