Sorry, From. Between FFVII and Shenmue III, my prostate is worn out for the day. Going to have to care about this one later.

So, time to dig this bastard up. The game is almost upon us - at least when it comes to availability in the west. In terms of exposure, the game has actually already been played and spoiled to death, thanks to the Japanese version being out and playable in English on Xbone. So, for anyone who has been lucky (or foolish) enough to play the game already, or watch a stream: What's your opinion on the whole BioShock Infinite approach to wrapping up the entire SoulsBorne series ?

I can't wait to see what Miyazaki does after this as he's said it's the last of the Dark Souls games. Directors like him and Kojima shouldn't be forced to work on one franchise when they did so much for one genre.

I can't believe we are at the fifth game now and there are still no mimic bonfires.

Well, he certainly made sure the series goes out with a gangbang.

I've watched half a Let's Play already (cause I'm stupid) and without spoiling anything I just have to say that DAMN! Dat level design though! If only a 3D Castlevania could ever pull off environments like this.

I have considered the Souls series the closest we'd ever get to a true 3D Castlevania pretty much from the beginning. Sure, there is no full-fledged platforming, but to be fair, that's not exactly a bad thing. You can still jump over gaps since the first Dark Souls, there is plenty of verticality, and the combat mechanics cover both the slow-paced back and forth of the 8- and 16-bit generation Castlevania games and the faster action found in and beyond Symphony of the Night.

Dark Souls is what happens when Secret of Mana and Castlevania get drunk at a party

Preordered and excited. I'm even kind of debating taking the day off. But it's a short day so I won't bother. But after asking myself why I'm excited as I've never beaten a game in the series, I decided to show myself and start trying to beat DS2.
