I don't know if mods can, but admins can delete members.
I didn't though, he did it on his own accord.

was there a time when third party candidates were not non-entities? IIRC there was a fairly successful one in the 90s but it never got anywhere in the end Not really, at least not in the modern landscape. There are some that got mainstream attention, like Perot in 92 and Nader in 2000. But the "first past the post" counting system and the electoral college ensures that third party votes are going to be ideological rather than practical ones. The establishment hates them because they're viewed as diverting votes away from the bigger candidates - for example, the left-wing hating Nader for giving the election to Bush Jr. It's also one of the main reasons why Bernie Sanders is running as a Democrat, rather than an Independent, which he typically identifies as.

Good news, only other six months of this!
Ron Paul used to be the right's anti-establishment candidate...but he's also a libertarian, and Trump's no libertarian. Anecdotally, any of Ron Paul's supporters went on to support Rand, and loathe Trump for being so crass. Anyone else has hopped onto Gary Johnson, who is the right-wing counterpart to the Green Party's Jill Stein, essentially a non-entity in this election.

Yeah I mean, I was able to walk into the local mall and buy a Mega Man plushie For $10, without having to import it from Japan. The ten year old me would've been ECSTATIC at that.

Are we talking "Shadows of the Empire" here, or more "Courtship of Princess Leia"? I probably should have had my ass kicked for reading the entire Boba Fett trilogy. Thrawn trilogy, i.e. some of the only good-ish EU stuff.

I remember one dickbag used to be pick on me when I was a freshman because I read Star Wars books during lunch time. This was definitely in the era where games and all of that stuff were for kids/losers.

Some of these are weird since I played them a few years after they were technically released, so they don't "feel" part of that year. Like Steins;Gate and Danganronpa 2 I both played in 2014 and 2015 but they were released earlier in Japan. Same thing with Monkey Island 2 and Star Control 2, I didn't have a PC until like 1995 so I played them a few years later.

I'm not sure "co-opted" is the right word. Nerd culture sprang entirely from the consumption of consumer products. These were originally targeted at niche audience, but once capitalism decided they could make a lot more money by courting the mainstream, that's what happened.
Big Bang Theory is still a garbage show, though.

That's probably why I missed them - I found five of them on a compilation and thought that was it. Will make the fix when I get the chance, thanks!

www.hardcoregaming101.net/redcomrades/redcomrades.htmA classic Russian comedy adventure game, the first in a series of five, that has recently been translated into English and released on Steam. It's about Communists from 1918 thwarting an alien invasion, and it's goofy as hell.
